The government wishes to give rural communities a greater opportunity to run their own affairs and to guide their development in the future.

The aim of the Frampton-on-Severn Parish Plan is to address and record all issues of concern to the community comprehensively in a single document. 

The Plan is a  ‘material planning consideration’, so the recommendations will be taken into account when planning applications are assessed by Stroud District Council.

The Plan is in two parts:

§           Part One – Design for the Future

Introduces the concept of a Parish Plan. It records issues identified by the community for consideration, and a summary of the community’s recommendations accompanies each section.

§           Part Two – Implementation

Focuses on actions to implement the recommendations made in Part One and will be revised periodically by the Parish Council during the life of the Plan.
